Scuba diving computer - types and formats

A diving computer best friend can become a diver. It allows you more than were if you tables diving to stay away from. There are many types and styles of dive computers where you can select. What is best is really personal preference and suitable for the way, you diving. The following are some of the decisions you will have when purchasing your dive computer.

Console dive computer

Dive computer console is attached to the rest of the equipment with a hose. The console dive computer come with a pressure gauge. The ads are usually larger than the wrist dive computer, so you can easier on the eyes.

There are also options for a scuba diving computer on your tube (this is the type we use currently) or mounted the clip on your BC. Select depending, what is comfortable for you and fits in your price range.

Wrist dive computer

The wrist dive computer is very popular. These types of computers look like large watches and wrist worn. You will tell you everything you need to know at a glance. Some wrist dive computer can be mounted in a console.

Sometimes the faces for all the information that the computer can display, can be a bit small, so make sure you able, underwater, to read it.

If you integrated air and wrist dive computer with a pressure gauge wireless (see below) usually come. A small downside here is that this quite easy to misplace / can lose.

Air integrated dive computer

Air integrated dive computers are becoming more common. An air integrated computer measures the tank pressure and then calculate how much time at the current rate of air consumption have left. Integrated dive computer air tell you how much time you can at any level of effort.

Computer integrated an air replaces the need for a submersible pressure gauge (SPG). An is disadvantage of one integrated air computer, that if it fails you will lose information on how much air, you have links in the tank. You dive on.

Nitrox dive computer

Dive with Nitrox more often, so are computers that are Nitrox compatible. Even if you with Nitrox now are not diving if you think even diving with Nitrox in the future is worth it probably acquire a Nitrox dive computer. This saves you the hassle in the future a new computer to buy. But if don't think you ever be diving with Nitrox, then there is no reason for this feature to pay. A standard air computer is probably $100 + less than equivalent Nitrox.

Tubeless dive computer

Tubeless dive computer consists of the recipient (worn on the wrist or mounted on the BC) and a Ješted. The Ješted measures the high-pressure port of stage regulator and then your air sends wireless, to the recipient. The receiver looks exactly like normal dive computer.

This setup cuts down on the number of bags you need. There are now even tubeless dive computer that can accept multiple Transmitors - signal so you can keep even an eye on your friends consumption air. This feature is of course really for the advanced technical divers who can use various tanks on a dive. And, of course, we speak here some rather high price tags.

So think just on how you diving and what skills you need. The right dive computer for one person may be completely wrong for someone else. Choose one that you are comfortable with, and one for you wallet.
